Summer Parent Arts Lab

We’re kicking off a special Summer edition of PAL with two garden parties in person at the Art Center. We’ll reconnect with a few plant Ancestors (plants prominent in the cultures of the African Diaspora and adjacent cultures) and learn how to cultivate them in our communities from seed. In reconnecting with these plants and sowing their seeds we’ll challenge ourselves to grow, adapt when necessary, and stay connected to one another as the plants do. We’ll also learn how to care for the seeds as they grow so we have a bountiful harvest that nourishes us and supports our self-determination.
