Spring symbolizes renewal, rebirth, and a time to emerge from our winter isolation into our communities. In this workshop we’ll engage with the ways of the Honorable Harvest centered in many indigenous cultures from Africa to the Americas, and share best practices for wild harvesting nettles– one of spring’s first food gifts. Mild in flavor, and rich in nutrition, nettles will feature in a spoon-lickin’ spring soup recipe. We’ll nourish ourselves with a plant known to support those infamous spring allergies along with many other health benefits. (Nettle’s close relative spinach can be substituted instead if you prefer.)
Please email Sawdayah at sbrownlee@dreamyard.com if you have language interpretation needs.
