In this workshop, we will be creating the delicious traditional Jamaican beverage, sorrel. Originating from West Africa, sorrel found its way to the island of Jamaica in the 18th century. Throughout the years, the Caribbean and South America have had many variations of drinks utilizing the Hibiscus plant, which we will briefly discuss. During this workshop, we will be focusing mainly on the traditional Jamaican version of this drink that includes holistic ingredients such as ginger and cloves.
