DreamYard In School Programs provides over 150 residencies and after school companies at over 45 Bronx public schools. All In School Programs seek to build arts programs, increase teacher skills and knowledge, and use the arts as a tool to support curriculum and inspire learning.

In School Programs combine Standards-based arts instruction with social justice pedagogy principles to inspire students to develop character, scholarship and artistic voice to create change. We offer residencies in Poetry, Visual Art, Theater, Dance, Music, and Maker via two different 30 week program models:

A collaboration between a classroom teacher and a DreamYard teaching artist to integrate the arts and social justice into the core curriculum.

A DreamYard teaching artist leads students through an in-depth exploration of the art form through a social justice lens.
