On May 11th, teaching-artists Renée Watson and Ellen Hagan escorted 10 DreamYard student poets to Washington, D.C., on the invitation of First Lady Michelle Obama and the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, to attend a day-long celebration of poetry at the White House.
