In February 2009, Giorgio Armani and Caroline Kennedy came for a special visit to the DreamYard Art Center. Mr. Armani donated $1 million to the Fund for Public Schools and part of this donation will be allocated to programming at the Art Center. We extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Armani for his inspiring generosity and to the Fund for Public Schools for their confidence in our work. Mayor Michael Bloomberg praised Mr. Armani for this incredible gift: “Giorgio Armani doesn’t just believe in New York’s bright future…, he’s committed to making it a reality. Giorgio’s donation will help pay for [programs] at the DreamYard Art Center...an exciting new cultural hub.... This gift is going to make a big difference in the lives of so many of our children.”
