College Readiness:

All OSP participants take part in three college advisories throughout the programming year, some led by New Settlement College Access Center and some by program staff. The workshops main goals are for participants to identify colleges and universities based on their academic goals and personal interests, understanding the different elements colleges look for in applicants, and creating a time line of what to do in order to be college ready. Juniors and Senior participants are referred to a counselor at the College Access Center who works one on one with them on everything from submitting applications, SAT prep classes, and financial aid.
